Jan 15th, Tuesday

Weather getting mild enough so that I could start morning constitutionals around the promenade deck, 3 times around equals a mile.

After breakfast we both seemed in need of naps for most of the morning, probably getting into the relaxed atmosphere of this cruise. After lunch (coffee ice cream for dessert), we went to a concert of a classical guitarist – Robin Hall.

A popular activity on board are lectures. There are two series going on now. One is about crime and forensics by Jerry Labriola that I’m sure Frank V could give himself but is interesting to us. Jerry’ been talking about the Jon Benet murder and will be discussing the OJ Simpson case.

The QE2 moved from the port to the starboard side for remainder of the trip to Ft. Lauderdale.

Enjoyed Surf and Turf for dinner (our regular companions didn’t show, maybe we put them off). Vanilla Ice Cream for dessert.

Formal night again tonight with entertainment by soloist Petrina Johnson. She sang numerous showtunes and was fantastic. The quality of the entertainment has been top notch so far.

Well Ft. Lauderdale tomorrow and our first tour begins.
