Met an interesting couple from Brisbane at breakfast and had a long talk about “chestnuts roasting on an open fire”. They were disappointed they couldn’t find any in New York City and of course Chris offered to send them some chestnuts with a recipe.
I’m finding that I’m getting a slight reputation as some one to go to for help with digital camera problems. Ah well, it’s almost as good as being a pc doctor.
At lunch (cookies and cream ice cream) we met the most opinionated man so far – he had an opinion about everything and his opinion was always right. After lunch I went to the concert of the Paradise String Quartet – they were terrific. They’re from the Ukraine and will be on the ship the whole tour playing in the Grand Lobby after dinner and giving more afternoon concerts.
We’re spending more time by the pools in the sun.
Formal night and we went to the Virtuoso cocktail hour before dinner in the Commodore’s Lounge. No big surprises at dinner, but ice creams are starting to be repeated so I switched dessert to Black Forest Gateaux, which was very good.
Watched the Giants beat Green Bay and then called it a night to get ready for our Panama Canal transit.
