Jan 24th , Thursday

Heading Northwest towards Acapulco, Mexico. The weather is milder than yesterday, not a cloud in the sky.

Breakfast was fun, we ran into a couple from Brisbane who we had lunch with before, he and I seem to have a similar sense of humor and we had a couple of ladies from Palos Verdes at the table that said we were better than the entertainment at night.

Nothing much else in the morning, relaxed and read. Lunch was with John and Janet from Southampton who we’re friendly with and enjoyed their company talking about a strange man they met who claimed to be head of a Royal Yacht Club and was on board for three days before getting a seat in the dining room. Suspicion was that no one wanted his company! He also wanted to know how many Golf memberships John had and insisted that a minimum of two was necessary whether you played golf or not. Desert was pineapple fritters and vanilla ice cream.

Chris had her first acupuncture treatment, seems to helped her shoulders a bit. The we sunned and relaxed before the Captain’s cocktail party tonight – formal tonight. Champagne and cocktails along with sushi and other hors d’ouvres and a 1 foot high 6 foot long cake (no one knows when it will be served).

Again we called it an early night – we decided we need to find a way to stay up later since every couple of days the clocks are turned back an hour and we’re going to sleep earlier and earlier.
