Jan 25th, Friday

Robert Burns Day – Scottish Ball and apparently a big day in Scotland. To celebrate I went to a single malt scotch tasting and now know why I like Glenlivit and Glenfiddich (they taste similar to Johnny Walker Black Label. In any event, I took a nap before dinner as a result.

Weather was mild but rougher today because of a 40 mph wind, but we seem to have our sea legs and other than some unstable walking we had no other problems. The wind let up around 3 pm and the water is like a lake now. Chris found her tanzanite cross in the ships jewelry store.

After dinner we stayed for some of the show – jugglers but not very entertaining. They tried hard but were not that great. We wanted to stay up for the ceremony of the hammis but it was too late for us oldies……

Next stop Acapulco
