Loas Angeles

Weather is cool but clear. 500-600 people getting off in LA and the same number getting on. We took a tour of old town and then went to the new Disney Auditoriums and Theaters. On to Grauman’s Chinese Theater on Hollywood Boulevard with all the stars on the sidewalks. Acted like tourists and took pictures of the Hollywood sign. Our last stop was at the Farmer’s Market – could not believe it but there was no deli there and Chris and I were disappointed we couldn’t get a corned beef on rye.

Got back to the ship and relaxed until dinner. We had new dinner companions, David and Joan. They are from New Zealand and are big travelers and the husband spent dinner telling us about everything we’re going to see and what we should do. I’m glad they’re getting off at Aukland in a couple of weeks Chris enjoyed talking with Joan. Dessert was orange pound cake and vanilla ice cream.

The entertainment was good tonight, a British comedian that was enjoyable.

We’ll be 4 days at sea towards Honolulu so journal entries may be sparse until then.
