Sea calming down and temperature warming. The ship is going fast towards Hawaii – 23 knots.
I’ve extended my morning walk to 5 times around the 9th, 10th and 11th decks in the hopes of keeping the weight down. All the weight machines in the spa are broken (I wonder if it’s on purpose) so while I think I’m ok, I can’t really tell. In addition, the golf nets are still not set up.
Chris and I had breakfast with John and Janet, from Southampton. We’ve hit it off and enjoy each others company. Lunch was with another couple from Sydney that joined the ship in LA. He is a retired eye surgeon and they have 6 children and 9 grand children and have traveled extensively. We had a long conversation over lunch about family, work, retirement, medical advances and many other topics.
Went to a piano recital in the afternoon that was enjoyable.
Chris has come down with a cold so she spent the rest of the day in bed resting. Fortunately we have all kinds of cold medicine and antibiotics so a couple of days rest before Hawaii and she should be fine. Had dinner in the cabin from the room service menu which was pretty good.
