February 22nd, Friday

Laundry day, Chris got up early while I took my morning walk and we managed to finish by 930 without having any arguments with other competitors in the laundry room.

The morning was spent with Chris working on her needle point and me adding to our journal and editing the 200 pictures we took in Melbourne. Big coincidence at lunch today, we ate with a couple whose also going around the world (met for the first time) and while they live in Phoenix, Arizona, the wife lived for two years in North Dakota and part of the time in Cavalier which was the town nearest to us when we were up there. She was there a few years after us, but it was almost scary how she and Chris started comparing places they both knew. The other couple at the table were fascinated by the stories.

I went to the final piano recital of the current pianist whose program included Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, great stuff. Finished editing my pictures from Melbourne and updated our blog for the last 4 days.

It was a formal night so we dressed for dinner and met Gustav and Irene for their last night on board. We had all intentions of going to the masquerade ball at 10 pm, but never made it, too tired and we knew it would be a long day in Sydney.
