February 6th, Wednesday

After my morning walk, while getting ready for breakfast, we watched the results of the Super Tuesday primaries. It’s clear to me that the Democratic candidate will likely not be decided until the convention in September. Not sure who that will be, but Hilary likely to be selected. Don’t think Obama will be her Vice Presidential candidate. As far as the Republicans I think the ticket will be McCain and Huckabee – won’t matter though – can’t see them winning unless they can blame the democrats for the economic situation.

Another good lecture this morning by the Australian historian about the war in the Pacific after Pearl Harbor and interesting facts about Japan’s conquests prior to their surrender. After lunch I went to another good piano recital and the weather started clearing up.

After dinner we went to the theater and listened to an excellent singer from Scotland who also played the flute and was very entertaining. We stayed to the end which proved how good she was.
