Out for my morning walk there was a rain squall but it’s cleared up and now the skies are clear and it looks like it will be a beautiful day. Laundry morning but we got lucky and it was done while we were at breakfast.
Interesting seminar this morning on other explorers of the South Pacific and found out that before Garibaldi united the provinces of Italy he was a ships captain and sailed from Peru to China and back trading.
Lunch with some trivia experts and then to the second Piano concert of Robin Zebaida’s. He performed mostly salon pieces so several men in the audience went to sleep. He promised that his next recital would be “Sturm und Drang” pieces that would keep everyone awake.
We were invited to a cocktail party thrown by our travel agency and Chris had a Pina Colada that got her a little tipsie (she hadn’t eaten much all day) and so she left dinner early (I think it was an excuse to get away from our dinner companions). The entertainer tonight was a virtuoso on the clarinet, saxophone and banjo – enough said.
