March 17th, Monday

It’s St. Patrick’s Day and lots of green on board. I couldn’t find a green shirt to wear and tonight is an elegant casual night which means no ties; and here I had a green bow tie and cummerbund already to go! All the Aussies leaving at Singapore are getting packed and ready to leave for home. We’ll get a whole new set of people going to Dubai and/or Southampton so we’ll see what surprises we get for dinner after Mavis and Colin depart. They’ve been fun.

Spent most of the day editing pictures from Bangkok and Ko Sumai so I can update my blog, but the internet’s not working too well so I can get the words uploaded but not the pictures. Hopefully they’ll fix it up soon.

I wanted to go to the piano recital in the afternoon but was tired so came up to the cabin and found that Chris was doing laundry since lots of people leaving in Singapore had to pack and had already done their laundry.

Dinner dress was elegant casual and I found I had a nice new green striped shirt to wear. I’ll save my green bow tie for another day. Colin and Mavis left us with little koala bears as gifts along with their excess items they didn’t want to carry on the plane home that we can use.

The evening entertainment was a violin virtuoso who did some good Irish music along with classical pieces – he was enjoyable
