At sea heading towards our last port in India – Mumbai (Bombay). The weather is clear and typically tropical and we managed to get our laundry done before 9 am. Miraculously the dryers were working so we got done early.
Chris and I relaxed most of the rest of the morning. I went to a piano recital in the afternoon while Chris rested and got ready for formal night. She’s wearing another sari with the material bought at the silk factory. The chef’s wife is Indian and will be helping the ladies get their saris on correctly. Tonight’s is the Raj ball and the Captain is holding a cocktail party for the world tour guests.
The Queen’s Room (where the cocktail party was held) was decorated and it also had three large ice sculptures – the Taj Mahal, a Pheasant and an elephant. Chris got several compliments on her sari and we enjoyed dinner and the entertainment afterwards.
On to Mombai.
