We docked in the city of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia at 8 am. While the weather was cloudy it was not too warm so we had a good day. Our excursion took us to a Borneo village on the river. Chris got to do batik painting and we took a river cruise past mangrove swamps and stilt villages. We also got to do crab trap fishing. Chris and I got nothing, but some of the people on the boat caught crabs.
After traveling through some of the city and photos of the state mosque we returned to the ship for a late light lunch and relaxation before dinner.
Dinner was enjoyable and we finished in time to get to the early show in the theater and it was very good. There was a Welsh comedian who really was quick witted and made fun of all nationalities. In addition, he a great voice and did Englebert Humperdink songs as well as country and western.
As a result we got to bed at a reasonable time.
