Another beautiful day at sea on the way to Salahlah. Oman. No big things going on, just checked email and fooled around on the internet. We got new key cards because we’re now Platinum level with Cunard since we’ve been on-board 75 days. We get laundry discount and 4 hours of free internet each!
At lunch we sat with a couple from Bartlesville, Oklahoma. They were proud of the fact the Conoco-Phillips ran the town and kept the population at 30,000. They claimed it was like Brussels and were very pointed in claiming there was no crime. In any event, it made for an interesting lunch. I won’t go in to some of the sleazier comments they made. Suffice it to say we left the table as quickly as we could.
Afternoon was spent in sun and golf practice as well as reading. Chris napped and worked on her project.
Dinner was uneventful and we passed on the entertainment publicized as multi-instrumentalists from Mexico so we could rest up for tomorrow’s 8 hour excursion to Job’s tomb and other ancient sites.
